    But there's one little problem left: I'm apparently unable to upload a header picture that's working. I tried (the same image) in png, gif, even jpeg – always only the small blue Safari question mark. Maybe it's too large (900x300)?

    Yes I think the header image is too large, try 875px instead of 900px

    Hope it works out. Thanks for using my theme!
